To be honest, I only watched a handful of random videos due to an all-too-slow internet connection but there is no doubt in my mind that the RC44 footage sailed several boat lengths ahead of the X40 media. Even though I knew the tests were fairly controlled, there were plenty of "baited breath" moments watching the monohull video due to... [MORE]

Please use announcers and commentators who speak without that annoying British or New Zealand accent...... maybe someone who speaks American? Mono-hulls and close racing with some aerial viewing would be most appreciated too.

After watching both types of boats, I think it's pretty safe to say that while the multi-hulls looked faster..the mono-hulls created many more 'wow' moments. The closeness of the boats while racing was very intense and exciting. During actual competition I realize... [MORE]

Much has been said about the type of yacht to be used. I believe a monohull would be far more exciting to watch because of the potential for good TV.
The use of bowsprits vs spinnaker poles: if a less experienced crew mishandles a gennaker on a bowsprit, the worst that can happen is a blown gennaker or MAYBE a broken sprit. If it ... [MORE]

The viewer can enjoy watching all the crew work (this angle makes it easy to explain to non-sailors what the crew is doing) along with boat-on-boat maneuvers. Unlike the... [MORE]

The highlights videos are great, which indicates once again that most of a sailboat race is boring to watch in any wind speed. The action is when boats meet, at the start, occasionally upwind and downwind, and at mark-roundings. The key to having exciting race video is to edit it. Don't emphasize live coverage, but do have a... [MORE]

Thanks for doing such a great job televising the last cup. It was clearly tough to maintain the tension in such a lopsided contest.
The next one should be much closer racing. I feel that the monohull is a better platform for your cameras. These boats are relatively stable, dry and have some freedom of moveme... [MORE]
