I found the RC443 clips to be much more exciting and entertaining to watch, especially from the stern mounted camera which gives a great angle of everything that's happening. The viewer can enjoy watching all the crew work (this angle makes it easy to explain to non-sailors what the crew is doing) along with boat-on-boat maneuvers. Unlike the cat clips, the RC44 videos had the boats crossing and in the dial-up engaging in some very close-quarters sailing. The length and beam of the boats created a very compact exciting visual. I think it's always a plus when you have the option to get all the action into one picture - that doesn't seem to be the case with the cats (many of the cat videos show the guys sitting or laying around. For the non-sailor, and for a knowledgeable sailor too, these types of images are boring and don't help illustrate the action). Anyway I think with the monohulls, especially of the RC44 size, I see tons of potential for an exciting broadcast combining these great visuals supported by really informative play-by-play commentary.
Thanks for listening.
